Proper CO2 Installation

1. Check Cartridge Compatibility:
Ensure you have the correct CO2 cartridge for your model, 8 gram for the Byrna SD and 12 gram for the Byrna SDXL.

2. Remove the CO2 End Cap:
Unscrew the CO2 end cap counterclockwise, using the hex head located on the bottom of magazine.

3.Insert the CO2 Cartridge:
Place the Byrna CO2 cartridge into the chamber, ensuring the neck goes in first.

4.Replace and Secure the CO2 End Cap:
Replace the CO2 end cap and while screwing it back in place, use the hex head for tightening.

When you feel resistance, turn it an additional quarter turn.

5.Caution against over-tightening:
Be careful not to over-tighten the CO2 end cap, as this may lead to complications.

6. Charging Complete:
At this point, the Byrna is charged, and the CO2 cartridge remains unpierced, allowing for extended carry without discharge.

Troubleshooting:
When the trigger is pulled and there is a CO2 gas leak, tighten the CO2 End cap an additional quarter turn.
